UK-Malaysia Free Trade Agreement Guidance
On 15 December 2024, the United Kingdom became the first European country to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The agreement entered into force between the UK and 9 other members: Malaysia, Japan, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Vietnam, and Brunei.
The Department for Business and Trade’s Free Trade Agreement Utilisation Team has created a series of guidance documents explaining the benefits of CPTPP and how companies can utilise the agreement.
