Sustainability Network

The sustainability agenda is a top area of interest for the Chamber and its members. The BMCC Sustainability Network was formed to allow our members to share and exchange experiences, voice challenges faced in the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and identify key areas where we can collectively advocate.

Chaired by Murali Ram, Lead, Cities and Advisory at ARUP Malaysia, the Sustainability Network currently has 31 members from various organisations. Some of the focus areas include initiatives in practising sustainability from the implementation of carbon offset to urban farming and the adoption of 100% renewable electricity in their facility. Additionally, the network’s focus areas revolved around the social aspect of ESG such as gender and inclusion, fair living wages and modern slavery.
