Launch of City & Guilds Assured
The British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) organised the launch of City & Guilds Assured, an exciting new product, aimed at helping businesses increase productivity and staff retention whilst closing the skills gaps that 63% of Malaysian businesses stated would impact their businesses this year.
City and Guilds is an awarding body from the UK. The company is a global leader in skills development and vocational education, providing services to training providers, employers, and trainees across a variety of sectors to meet the needs of today’s workplace.
The launch was officiated by H.E. Vicki Treadell CMG MVO, British High Commissioner to Malaysia, with speeches from Victoria Horrox (Head of Sales, East Asia, City & Guilds), Dato CM Vignaesvaran (HRDF) and Mr Raja Segaran (Head of Consulting & Projects, Corporate Strategy, MDEC) sharing their insights on skills gap challenges and solutions available to address these gaps, improve employee performance and growth.
This new recognition service allows employers to offer bespoke training that exactly meets the needs of their business, quality assured by City & Guilds. This new offer also ensures staff feel both valued and fully-equipped to meet business demands, reducing turnover and increasing productivity.
