IOI Palm Wood Shares ESG Initiatives

At IOI Palm Wood, we are excited to implement a 620 kW AC equivalent Solar PV generation plant, aiming to significantly reduce our carbon footprint and enhance our energy efficiency. This initiative towards greater use of renewable energy not only supports our operations but also contributes to a cleaner and greener planet.

We are actively pursuing updates and official confirmation from the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil organisation to engage in the MSPO chain of custody (CoC) for oil palm biomass (using MS 2751:2022 as a draft standard). Our commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable management of palm oil resources underscores our focus on environmental protection and community welfare. While we are actively involved in this initiative, we are eager to contribute to the development of this vital Malaysian standard. This standard should satisfy the proposed European Union Deforestation Regulations (EUDR) and future proof the sustainable use of Palm Core globally.

In parallel, we are implementing ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, alongside ISO 9001 for Quality Management and ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety. This integrated approach allows us to maintain high standards across all facets of our operations, ensuring continuous improvement and a safe workplace for our employees.

At IOI Palm Wood, we believe that sustainability is not just a goal but a responsibility. Together, we can build a more sustainable future for our industry and the planet.
