THE GIG ECONOMY: DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION OR OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPLOITATION?

The GIG Economy has undoubtedly increased the efficiency of how work is normally handled in a conservative work environment and has decreased cost overheads. However, will the increasing trend of the gig economy cause a rise in the uncertainty of income growth, the instability of remuneration, health or wellness issues without fixed income and in due time, retirement saving plans? Our line of panelists will discuss the pros and cons of the gig economy and how it will affect the future of our graduates and the nation as a whole.
