On 26 April 2021, the BMCC organised the The Student Voice in a Time of Change webinar to launch the thought leadership publication of the same name. Both were initiatives of the BMCC Higher Education Committee.
The webinar comprised a very diverse panel of academia and student leaders from the UK and Malaysia, along with industry, and featured a lively discussion moderated by Guy Perring, Regional Director Asia, i-Graduate:

- Prof. Dr. Kamila binti Ghazali, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic and International, Universiti Malaya (UM)
- Kent Tan, Campus Engagement Lead, PWC Malaysia
- Jack Wright, Student Engagement Officer, Royal Holloway, University of London
- Raja Rajeswary, President of the Student Council, International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW)
