It’s been two years since Malaysia was hit hard by COVID-19, and the country is still dealing with more than 290,000 active cases. However, Malaysia has one of the best vaccination rates in the world which has resulted in less severe infections within the community and reduced the burden on the public healthcare system.
With Malaysia set to reopen borders on 1 April, which will spur the country’s economy and dependant sectors – we will hear from the Director General of Health Malaysia regarding the lessons learnt in dealing with the virus and upcoming outlook for the country in the endemic phase.
