Driving Sustainability Impacts with International Standards and ESG Trends in Malaysia and Global
Last week, we had a stimulating afternoon at the latest BMCC Excellence Showcase with BSI! Themed “Driving Sustainability Impacts with International Standards and ESG Trends in Malaysia and Globally,” the roundtable session provided valuable insights into current sustainability practices and global ESG trends.
The event featured insightful presentations by Emmanuel Hervé, Wan Muqtadir Wan Abdul Fatah, and Seak Moon Chen, followed by an engaging roundtable session that sparked spirited discussions among all participants.
The speakers explored issues and challenges in companies transitioning toward carbon neutrality and presented solutions through the roundtable discussion and adherence to the standards handily prepared by BSI. They delivered presentations on debunking myths surrounding carbon, the nuances of ESG regulations in APAC regions, and addressed the demand for transparency, accountability, and responsible business practices.
In discussions to drive carbon neutrality and ESG excellence in alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, the roundtable yielded suggestions including shifting to a top-down approach, adjusting frameworks for ministries and agencies, and monitoring the development of relevant technologies.
We’re glad to have organised this session with BSI, to aid and accelerate the sustainability journey of many organisations.
