On the 8th of November 2016, the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) in collaboration with TMF Group and supported by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) held a talk and roundtable discussion on the latest strategies from MITI in attracting foreign investments to Malaysia.
The event titled “Strategies and Efforts Linking to Budget 2017” was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Kuala Lumpur from 8.30am to 12pm, graced by featured speaker Madam Wan Suraya, Deputy Secretary General (Strategy and Monitoring Division) of MITI. The ensuing discussion which was was opened to questions from the audience and moderated by Tony Collingridge OBE, Director of Department for International Trade (DIT) touched on inward investments, openness to foreign investments and potential free-trade agreements in the future.
The attendees made up of BMCC members and government officials then had the chance to network with each other over a breakfast buffet and exchange knowledge and opinions on the recent Budget 2017.
