The BMCC delegation started with a networking session at SkyBar Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour, followed by a private dinner session at the Ballroom hosted by The Honourable Datuk Tengku Putra Haron Aminurrashid Jumat, a member of Johor Legislative Assembly and Iskandar Regional Development Authority.
Both the networking and dinner sessions were also joined by representatives of British companies who have already established their presence in Iskandar.
“The BMCC believes Iskandar offer interesting investment prospects for companies wanting to establish their presence here, hence why we at BMCC decided to jointly collaborate with IRDA and provide this golden opportunity to learn in details on what the region and IRDA can offer for them” said Andrew Sill, the Deputy Chairman of BMCC.
The Honourable Datuk Tengku Putra Haron meanwhile said, “It is a privilege to be hosting the dinner reception for the BMCC and forging stronger relations in all areas for the benefit of the people. We hope that their visit is a fruitful one based on our famous hospitality and the vast prospects available in this great State of Johor. “
At the end of the dinner, The Honourable Datuk Tengku Putra Haron presented a ‘keris’ or an asymmetrical dagger most strongly associated with Johor culture, to BMCC and IRDA as token of appreciation.
