BMCC Hari Raya Open House
The BMCC hosted a Hari Raya Open House on the 27th June, celebrating the end of the Holy month of Ramadan. Over 90 members attended, with a robust mix of new and familiar faces enlivening the evening’s networking with bustling energy. BMCC Chairman, Andrew Sill greeted all guests with an opening speech before Ms. Suzanne Mooney from The Lost Food Project (TLFP) delivered an eye-opening presentation on the pandemic of food wastage what businesses can do to support social and environmental sustainability.
The BMCC recently signed an MOU with TLFP in an effort to contribute towards eradicating hunger and reducing greenhouse gasses. In recognition of this partnership, commemorative mugs were handed out to all guests who were also encouraged to bring home surplus food in takeaway boxes brought by the TLFP team.
