The BMCC held its annual Appreciation Night to acknowledge the support and collaborations of the Chamber’s Sponsors, Partners, Patrons, and Sterling Members throughout 2019. Over 50 representatives from our most valued member companies were joined by the Chamber’s Board of Directors, along with the night’s honorary guest and BMCC patron, H.E. Charles Hay. In her speech, BMCC Executive Director Jennifer Lopez hailed the strong support of everyone towards the achievements of the Chamber this year, with a special appreciation to the British High Commissioner and his team at the British High Commission Kuala Lumpur as well as the Department for International Trade for their support and partnerships.
“When we return in 2020, we have much to do, and more to look forward to,” said Jennifer. She mentioned efforts to strengthen the BMCC’s existing sector committees and network, the launch of the new Construction and Engineering Network as well as increasing the BMCC’s presence to Johor and Penang as some of the upcoming initiatives next year. “We will also turn our attention to providing enhanced support to members who are interested in venturing to other foreign markets. Depending on the interest we can gather from our members, we will provide opportunities for our members to join us on trade missions to the UK or growing ASEAN markets,” she said.
