The BMCC celebrated the end of an industrious year with its members at the Annual Corporate Christmas Luncheon, held last Friday at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur. Over 250 guests attended, dressed in their evening best and enjoyed a fine time basking in Christmas cheer with colleagues and old friends. In a beautifully decorated ballroom, the luncheon began with a speech by BMCC Chairman Andrew Sill and a toast by British High Commissioner to Malaysia, H.E. Vicki Treadell.
The stage was graced with three wonderful performances; a musical ensemble by Sunway University’s talented youths, a lovely carolling performance by the primary students of The Alice Smith School KL, and finally a selection of Christmas jollies performed by The British Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA)‘s Brass Quartet comprised of James Fiddeman, Eddy Wen and Laura Cryzer, led by composer and conductor Principal Paul M Baker.
Nick Atkinson was the afternoon’s emcee, overseeing as well the Lucky Draws which saw one fortunate winner claim the Grand Prize of a trip to London for two, a generous courtesy of British Airways and The Dorchester. Thank you to our other Christmas Sponsors, Sports Direct, Rolls Royce, Grand Millennium, JW Marriott, Southern Rock Seafood, Sunway University and our Preferred Training Partner, Axsel Management. Our thanks goes out to all our members and guests who attended, and for supporting the Chamber throughout the year. Wishing one and all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
