In collaboration with Amcorp, the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce held a UK Property Talk and Networking session on the 20th October 2016 at Upper Deck, G Tower Hotel. The talk was titled “Post-Brexit: Impact on Commercial & Private Investment UK Property” and featured speakers from DAC Beachcroft LLP Glenn Ruddy (Partner) and David Manifould (Partner) along with Christopher Boyd, Executive Chairman at Savills Malaysia.
The event was an overall success, exceeding our target of 50 people comprising of employees from the property sectors and BMCC members. H.E. Vicki Treadell, British High Commissioner to Malaysia graced the event by dropping by to say a few words before networking with the attendees.
“Our first presence was driven by trade; and our future presence here will equally be driven by trade. Developing our relationship we markets like Malaysia in terms of two-way trade investment remains an absolute top priority for myself and my team, and I know for my government in its latest incarnation,” she said, providing well-timed assurances amidst the unresolved uncertainties from the British EU referendum.
