Join us for the next exciting installment of BMCC’s Breakfast Talk Series; on Cyber & Surveillance Security.
Fellow members of the BMCC, BAE Systems will be represented by Rishe Ramasamy (GM of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, Malaysia Engineering Centre) and Fadzril Fatin (Senior Cyber Security Consultant of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Sdn Bhd), while Digistar will be represented by Ethan Chang Hon Yen (Head of Sales, Panther 911 & Panther Mobile of Digistar Corporation Bhd)
They will be speaking on the topics of “Malaysia & The Cyber Threat Landscape” and “Modern Security Technology: Protection or Prevention” respectively.
2017 has already seen an unprecedented level of cyber incidents affecting some of the world’s most critical services – whether it be network attacks on Polish and other banks, cyber espionage in managed service providers around the world, ransomware attacks affecting the UK health system and thousands of other organisations, or most recently, the Petya attacks seemingly targeting Ukraine, but spreading well beyond those borders, BAE Systems threat intelligence and incident response teams have been on the front line, investigating and responding.
This presentation by BAE Systems will reveal first-hand details from the cases behind the intrusions, and how they are relevant in the Malaysia context. It will showcase technical details of HOW these intrusions happened, reflect on WHO is behind them, consider WHY these attacks were so successful, and detail WHAT companies should be doing to keep up with the evolving threat.

About the Speakers from BAE:
Rishe Ramasamy is the General Manager of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, Malaysia Engineering Centre, and brings with him 30 years of IT experience having worked across multiple industry segments and countries. Prior to BAE Systems, he spent 13 years in the outsourcing and Global Business Shared Services environment. Rishe contributes to coaching talent as an active member of the Industry Advisory Board of Universities, as well as being an active member of the Cradle Fund CGP that coaches start-up companies. He holds a MBA from Charles Sturt and a certificate in Leadership from Harvard Business School.
Fadzril Fatin is a Senior Cyber Security Consultant with BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Sdn. Bhd. where he is responsible for the strategic pursuit of BAE Systems cyber security service opportunities in Malaysia, particularly within the critical national infrastructure market, drawing on BAE Systems global capabilities to address the advanced cyber security threat and the increasing need for big data and analytics solutions. His areas of expertise include information security management systems (ISMS), business continuity management, risk management, cyber security strategy, governance and compliance.
