Higher Education Committee

The BMCC Higher Education Committee serves as a key platform for members to advocate on issues and challenges impacting the higher education sector. This is primarily achieved through a joint working group established in 2021 in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
The Committee also facilitates the exchange of best practices, fosters meaningful relationships, and enables the formation of strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders. Comprising representatives from UK and Malaysian universities, professional bodies, and education-focused organisations, the Committee brings together diverse expertise and perspectives to drive impactful dialogue and initiatives.
Its key focus areas include graduate employability, Promotion of UK-MY transnational education, and government policies relating to international students and post-graduate employment.

Mental Health Advocacy for the Workplace and Learning Environment
Student and staff mental health has emerged as a central focus in the last few years. In the educational landscape, understanding and managing pressure is vital for academic success and overall well-being. As awareness of mental health issues grows, institutions are increasingly prioritising support systems that foster resilience and emotional health among both students and staff.
