Welsh Delegation to Malaysia & Reception with British High Commissioner to Malaysia
Last week, the BMCC welcomed a delegation of companies from Wales. Led by Ms. Sarah James from the Welsh Government, the contingent included representatives from Atticus Digital, BCB International, CSCM Group, Huntington Fusion Techniques, Markes International, MM Engineering, Reid Lifting, Secure Sensor Innovative Design and Teddington Engineered Solutions.
For the visiting delegates, the BMCC organised briefings from the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Invest Selangor. Visits to the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and The Exchange 106 at TRX KL (the tallest building in Malaysia at 454m) were also scheduled for briefings by MDEC, TMF Group, Cyberview and Mulia Group. A reception for the delegation was held that evening at the British High Commissioner’s Residence, where H.E. Charles Hay, British High Commissioner to Malaysia and BMCC Board Members led my Chairman Andrew Sill greeted and networked with the Welsh representatives.
Wales is a self-governing constituent country of the UK and since 1999 the Welsh Government is the devolved Government for Wales. Wales has a strong industrial heritage with depth in advanced manufacturing, creative industries, energy and environment, financial and professional services, food and drink, life sciences, and technology.
