The very first OBNI Open Day was held on 1 Sept at Regus Menara Darussalam.
In 2013,the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) was selected by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) as their service delivery partner for UK SME’s in Malaysia under the Overseas Business Network Initiative (OBNI). This innovative partnership further strengthens the relationship between UKTI, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the BMCC, providing a comprehensive service delivery platform that further develops trade between the United Kingdom and Malaysia.

The event started with a short presentation by Agnes Elizabeth, Business Development on overview of the BMCC, followed by a detailed presentation by Ralph Owczarek, OBNI Senior Project Manager on OBNI objectives, vision, capabilities and case studies.
