An Elevated Culinary Showcase of Australia’s Finest, at Arthur’s Bar & Grill

Kuala Lumpur, 28 July 2025 – Arthur’s Bar & Grill at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur presents A Taste of Australia – a culinary celebration that captures the purity of the land, the craft of its producers, and the spirit of sustainability, all brought to life in a refined à la carte menu that invites diners to savour every story behind the flavours. Thoughtfully curated by our culinary team, the menu is a journey through the rugged coastlines, fertile plains, and pristine waters of Australia. Each dish pays homage to the provenance of its ingredients and the integrity of the people who cultivate them.

The experience begins with the award-winning Jade Tiger Abalone, sustainably farmed off Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula – prized for its tender texture and natural sweetness. It is elegantly paired with avocado salsa and a wasabi soy vinaigrette, offering a delicate yet flavour-forward introduction. Seafood lovers will delight in the Southern Rock Lobster, wild-caught from the dramatic coast of South Australia. Served in a rich bisque within a roasted pumpkin bowl and accompanied by a lobster satay, the dish is an ode to coastal Australian cuisine.

For something hearty, the 200-day grain-fed Black Angus Beef promises richness and depth. Sourced from certified farms, the seared beef mignon is complemented with wild forest mushrooms, silky mashed potatoes, and a decadent truffle jus – a classic pairing elevated with finesse. Diners may also opt for the Catch of the Day Garfish, caught from the Spencer Gulf and served with truffle mash and sautéed vegetables, or the West Coast Black Mussels, poached with aromatic spices and double cream, accompanied by rustic sourdough.

 

The meal concludes with a sweet finale: Native Tea & Honeycomb, a layered dessert of tea-infused tiramisu, wild berries, and honeycomb ice cream – a poetic combination that captures the floral, earthy notes of Australia’s native bush tea and the golden richness of honey from the Adelaide Hills.

Enhance the journey with optional pairings of South Australian wines, premium non-alcoholic juices, or a cup of freshly brewed Monjava coffee or native tea. “A Taste of Australia is not just a celebration of fine produce, it’s a narrative of land, legacy, and craftsmanship – all thoughtfully translated to the plate.” says Executive Chef Scott Brands.
