On 26 November, our member BSI hosted an engaging session on carbon neutrality, shedding light on the “known unknowns” in the race toward net-zero targets. The event, led by BSI’s Head of Sustainability Wan Muqtadir Wan Abdul Fatah, emphasised the importance of identifying gaps and understanding the diverse priorities organisations face on this journey.
The session brought together participants from various sectors, including educational institutions, property and estate officers, and other professionals. The intimate session lay the perfect setting for them to engage with Wan Muqtadir and bring up discussion points from their own experience.
One standout discussion focused on the issue of misinformation. Attendees noted how certain narratives often obscure the direct benefits of sustainability initiatives. To remedy this, we were reminded to maintain vigilance.
