The Chamber welcomes David Wallace, Acting High Commissioner (Chargé d’Affaires) at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur following the departure of Ailsa Terry CMG, who has returned to London to be the prime minister’s private secretary for foreign affairs.
Before this, Wallace has served as Deputy High Commissioner since July 2022. David has a diplomatic career spanning over twenty years during which he has covered a range of political, economic and security roles, focused in Europe and East Asia. From 2017 to 2022 he was a Political Counsellor at the British Embassy in Berlin, where he built up cooperation with Germany on foreign, security and development issues.
