JS-SEZ Roundtable with BritCham Singapore

The BMCC was proud to collaborate with our colleagues at the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore and KPMG Singapore in hosting The Honourable Singaporean Minister of State, Alvin Tan, at the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) Roundtable.
In his address, Minister Tan highlighted reasons for optimism as industries review the opportunities of the JS-SEZ, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, where Singapore could serve as an R&D or regional hub complemented by manufacturing facilities in Johor.
Representing the BMCC, Sukhbir Singh, BMCC Board Member and CEO of M&N Group of Companies, delivered the opening remarks. His insights reinforced the role of the JS-SEZ as a vital bridge between governments and businesses, policy and practice, and Malaysia and Singapore. Emphasising that the SEZ must be industry-driven, actionable, and people-focused, Sukhbir echoed the Chamber’s vision of fostering meaningful cross-border collaboration.
The BMCC extends our sincere appreciation to Sukhbir Singh for his strong representation of the Chamber and for helping shape the dialogue on sustainable economic cooperation. We remain committed to supporting our members and UK market entrants as they look to capitalise on the opportunities the JS-SEZ will bring.
