Energy Committee Dialogue Session – Nuclear Power: A Global Overview 2025

In conjunction with World Nuclear Energy Day on 2 December, the members of our Energy Committee held a dialogue session with Sheriffah Noor Khamseah Al-Idid binti Dato’ Syed Ahmad Idid, Consultant Nuclear Power and Innovation Alumna, Imperial College London and Global Network Ambassador (WNED Malaysia), and Innovation and Nuclear Advocate.

She provided an overview of nuclear power, including examples of its use in other countries and its role in electricity generation and addressing climate change.

Dr. Shubhabrata Samantaray, Founder of ENHEROES Global Energy, also shared his insights on the future prospects of nuclear power in sustainable development.

Members discussed career pathways for students pursuing nuclear-related fields, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power and nuclear plants.
