More than 50 rugby-mad children got a taste of what it takes to win a World Cup as they enjoyed an action-packed Coaching Clinic led by three rugby legends from the UK, New Zealand and Ireland.
Organised in conjunction with KL Saracens, one of the city’s best-known rugby clubs, the Clinic is part of the Annual Charity Rugby Dinner Event organised by the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC).
Leading the Clinic alongside the regular coaches were Brian Moore, former Harlequins, England and British Lions player, and now a noted author and commentator; Andrew Mehrtens, former Canterbury and New Zealand All Blacks player; and Alan Quinlan, a former Munster and Ireland international.
The juniors, ranging in ages from 6 to 14, were given a masterclass on tackling and passing under the watchful eye of the three legends. And while the juniors all took it very seriously, there was a lot of fun to be had as well.
