BMCC Elects New Energy Committee Chair and Deputy Chair

The BMCC Energy Committee convened to discuss key sector developments and outline upcoming initiatives. The meeting began with the election of Dr. Leon Rosairo (Ricardo) as Chair and Prof. Mohd Shahir Liew (University of Nottingham) as Deputy Chair.

Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including data centre sustainability, EV battery lifecycle management, the NETR refresh, water security, and outcomes from the recent BP Energy Forum. Members also explored follow-up engagements with government and key stakeholders to drive collaboration in advancing Malaysia’s energy transition.

The Committee continues to serve as a platform for members to share insights, shape dialogue, and align efforts toward a sustainable and resilient energy future.
