BMCC Education Committee in Johor and Networking Lunch with Johor Network Members
Date: 1 March 2024
The BMCC held our first Education Committee meeting of the year at Marlborough College Malaysia, Johor Bahru. We had the opportunity to discuss and set priorities and activities for the committee for 2024 and 2025, with a focus on government advocacy, branding & marketing, and sustainability.
The activities suggested were in alignment with the Education and Higher Education Committee’s objective to promote British education in Malaysia.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to Simon Burbury and his team for the comprehensive 30-minute school tour, and for hosting our delegation, consisting of Education Committee Chair Anthony Partington of XCL Education Group, David Griffiths of Nexus International School, Matthew Brown from Epsom College Malaysia, James Worland from The International School @ ParkCity, Glenn Moodie from Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar, and Devina Sivagurunathan from MABECS.
Our Education Committee, led by Anthony Partington, Education Committee Chair and BMCC Board Member, later met with our members in Johor for a networking lunch at Sunway Hotel Big Box at Iskandar Puteri.
For their time and presence, we extend our gratitude to Wayne Carpenter and Lisa Cheng from Dyson, Steven Chan from Automation & Control Systems, Kenji Kong Weng Keat from Telford Engineering, Jonas Noecker from BMP Technologies Malaysia, Shirley Loh and Declan Proudfoot from Owen Mumford, and Mark Hardiman from Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (PTP).
