The British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC), the leading business chamber in Kuala Lumpur, has hit its target of RM1 million in funds raised for Malaysian charities with the contribution from the 8th KL Charity Rugby Dinner. Held every year since 2005, this year’s event raised a total of RM80,000, helping to smash the RM1 million mark.
The funds is presented on 19 July 2012 to 4 Malaysian charities at a cheque presentation ceremony, held at the Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the BMCC’s partner hotel for the event. The proceeds were donated to the following organisations: Dyslexia Association of Malaysia; Shelter Home for Children; Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia and Ti-Ratana Welfare Society.
