BMCC Built Environment Commitee’s 1st Meeting of 2026

We kicked off our first Built Environment Committee meeting of the year by bringing members together to explore how the sector can drive environmental sustainability and reduce carbon emissions through smarter design and technology adoption.

Discussions focused on the role of AI, Industrialised Building Systems (IBS) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) in improving efficiency and lowering environmental impact across project lifecycles.

Members also examined adaptive reuse and restoration strategies to revitalise vacant office spaces while preserving heritage assets. The conversation further highlighted green transport solutions, particularly first- and last-mile connectivity, as critical enablers of more sustainable, integrated urban development.
