BMCC at PageGroup’s Grand Launch of First Shared Services Centre in Malaysia

The BMCC was proud to support and attend the Grand Launch of PageGroup’s first Shared Service Centre (SSC) in ASEAN, held on 24 July 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Representing the Chamber and an officiant of the launch was our Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer Lopez. She was joined by BMCC’s Board Member and the Director of Trade & Investment Malaysia at the UK Department for Business & Trade, Richard Colley; Executive Assistant to BMCC CEO & Office Administrator, Azizul Hakim Sapi’ee, and Public Affairs & Government Relations Executive, Nicole Cheong.

This strategic launch marks a major milestone for the UK-headquartered recruitment company, signalling its long-term commitment to the region by anchoring key operational functions in Malaysia. The Kuala Lumpur SSC will support PageGroup’s Asia Pacific business, delivering core services in finance, IT, marketing, and human resources to enhance the company’s efficiency and responsiveness across the region.

Operating in tandem with existing SSCs in Barcelona and Buenos Aires, the new centre enables a 24/7 ‘follow-the-sun’ service model, positioning Kuala Lumpur as a critical node in PageGroup’s global operations. In its first phase alone, over 100 roles—spanning senior, specialist, and leadership levels—have been established in Malaysia, accounting for 75% of the business services function supporting Asia Pacific.

These roles are instrumental in advancing PageGroup’s digital transformation, AI integration, financial performance, and operational agility across key Asia Pacific markets. The Kuala Lumpur SSC is also primed for future expansion, with plans to grow regional leadership roles in line with evolving business needs.

The BMCC extends its warm congratulations to PageGroup on this significant investment in ASEAN and looks forward to supporting their continued growth in the region. A special thank you to BMCC Board Member and Chair of the BMCC’s Talent Network – Nic Chambers, the Managing Director of Michael Page Malaysia, for his continued leadership and partnership in championing Malaysia’s talent agenda.
