BMCC at Global Futures Programme in Kuala Lumpur by British Council Malaysia

The BMCC was pleased to participate in the Global Futures Programme in Kuala Lumpur, an initiative organised by Common Purpose in collaboration with the University of Westminster and Queen Mary University of London, and hosted by the British Council.

Driven by a shared commitment to youth empowerment, the programme brought together 14 undergraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds and stages of study. Many participants were first-generation university students or came from lower socio-economic backgrounds, underscoring the programme’s mission to broaden access to opportunities and support future leaders.

As part of the programme, BMCC Executive Director, Farhan Zamri, joined a panel discussion chaired by Prabha Sundram, Head of Education at the British Council, alongside Min Mahayuddin, Senior Trade Manager for Education from the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

The session explored key themes including core skills for employability, navigating multicultural and international work environments, and real-life working experiences in Malaysia. Students also had the opportunity to engage directly with panellists through an interactive Q&A session, gaining practical insights into career pathways and workplace expectations.

The BMCC was honoured to contribute to this meaningful initiative that reflects our continued commitment to supporting talent development, education, and stronger connections between young people and industry.
