BMCC at Budget 2025 MITI Dialogue Session with Industry

On 8 September 2025, the BMCC joined fellow chambers and associations at the 2026 Budget Session hosted by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).

The session was graced by the presence of several distinguished leaders, including YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry; YB Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister; Dato’ Hairil Yahri Yaacob, Secretary General; Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, Deputy Secretary General (Investment); and Yang Berusaha Puan Mastura Ahmad Mustafa, Deputy Secretary General (Industry).

The dialogue centred on a number of critical themes for Malaysia’s economic future, including talent and training, professional services, energy transition, construction, sustainability, technology, and biopharma. These discussions highlighted both opportunities and challenges, with chambers providing input on how the upcoming budget could further strengthen Malaysia’s competitiveness and foster sustainable growth.
