BMCC at AI Governance Bill Consultation Workshop by the National AI Office

BMCC Members Join AI Governance Bill Consultation
The BMCC connected members from AstraZeneca, Infobip, HSBC, and Arup to the National AI Office’s (NAIO) Industry Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on the proposed AI Governance Bill.
Bringing together over 70 representatives from industry, academia, associations, civil society, and the wider AI ecosystem, the workshop explored key governance principles, AI risk management, and responsible innovation. Insights from the discussions will contribute to refining Malaysia’s AI Governance Bill and support the development of an inclusive, trusted AI governance framework.
In addition to the workshop, BMCC members and industry stakeholders are encouraged to submit written feedback on the proposed Bill, particularly on the following areas: Definitions and Scope of the Bill, the Central AI Authority, AI Principles, AI Risk and Harm Framework, AI Incident Reporting, AI Enabling Powers, and the AI Sandbox Function.
