BMCC Annual Corporate Christmas Luncheon 2018
The BMCC wrapped up its final event of the year with our Gold & Silver themed Annual Corporate Christmas Luncheon; a fun-filled glistened-bedazzled occasion sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, bringing all our members together to celebrate a busy year gone by. Returning to the JW Marriott KL for a second year, the luncheon saw over 300 attendees fill the ballroom, turning up in all manners of fashion; from the elegant and suave to the jolly and eccentric.
BMCC Chairman, Andrew Sill kickstarted the event with his opening remarks, summarising the Chamber’s achievements throughout 2018 and thanking all Sponsors, Partners and members for their support. Ending his speech with a Christmas joke or two, BMCC’s Board Directors joined H.E. Vicki Treadell, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia on stage as she delivered a meaningful Christmas toast. This will be Vicki’s final toast as she will be completing her illustrious 4.5 years posting in Malaysia by April 2019.
A hearty 4 course meal was accompanied by musical performances from Sunway University, The Alice Smith School and MadAsh, enlivening the boisterous afternoon with Lucky Draws thrown into the mix. Fortune favoured the lucky few who walked home with a variety of prizes sponsored by Sports Direct, Royal Selangor, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Millennium, Gentleman’s Tonic, Avis and Eco Healthy Foodcare Pte Ltd. The best dressed lady and gentleman of the afternoon were awarded a richly packed hamper kindly sponsored by Tesco.
A special effort was concurrently organised by the The Lost Food Project (TLFP) who were running their Festive Food Drive Campaign at our Christmas Luncheon. In this season of giving, attendees thoughtfully brought along gifts and supplies for those in need. We thank everyone who contributed for your kindness, and we continually commend TLFP for their tremendous efforts.
The BMCC wishes to thank all who attended and indeed all our members for their support throughout 2018. From all of us at the BMCC, merry christmas, happy holidays and we’ll see you next year!
