Congratulations to Lau Ching Luan, who has been appointed as our new Southeast Asia Leader. This comes as Arup are also expanding into the southern state of Peninsular Malaysia, Johor, which is anticipated to be a major catalyst for economic development due to its proximity to Singapore.
A pivotal role in Arup’s newly created Asia Pacific (APAC) region, Lau will work closely with leaders to enable the firm to play a bigger role in influencing sustainable development trends in the critical APAC market.
“I’m eager to continue the work of diversifying Arup’s business offering, leveraging the exciting opportunities emerging across Southeast Asia. Expanding our operations with a new office in Johor underscores our commitment to growth in Southeast Asia. Having our people on the ground in Johor will deliver better outcomes for our clients, illustrated by a deeper understanding of local market dynamics.” – Lau Ching Luan
