Farhan Zamri leads the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) with a focus on strengthening the UK–Malaysia business corridor, growing member value, and expanding the Chamber’s influence across key industries and stakeholders. In his role, he works closely with the BMCC Board, members, and partners from both the public and private sectors to advance bilateral trade, investment, and talent development.

A senior leader in Malaysia’s professional and financial services landscape, Farhan brings over 16 years of experience driving industry development, strategic partnerships, and regional capacity building. He was formerly from the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), where he led Growth, Strategy & Partnerships—oversaw a major share of the Institute’s revenue and spearheaded high-level engagement with Bank Negara Malaysia, regulators, and regional stakeholders.

Previously with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Farhan played a key role in positioning Malaysia as one of ICAEW’s most successful international markets. His career reflects a strong track record of uniting government, industry, and academia to elevate professional standards, expand access to qualifications, and advance social mobility.

An ACCA (UK) member and former entrepreneur, Farhan is recognised for delivering strategic outcomes at scale through collaborative, forward-looking leadership.
